spay & neuter

Please be a responsible pet owner and prevent your pet from helping to create unwanted animals. The Humane Society of Iredell has worked with the county to implement a Low-Cost Spay and Neuter Program that is available for all residents. All residents regardless of income can take advantage of reduced rates. See link for more information. Residents on income assistance qualify for a very low rate for spaying and neutering. If an Iredell County resident qualifies for public assistance programs including WIC, Food Stamps, or Medicaid, they can have their pet surgically spayed or neutered for $10. Applications can be picked up from the Iredell County Animal Control Shelter Department at 243 Twin Oaks Road in Statesville. The shelter’s phone number is: 704-878-5424. Please call them for more information.
